MERCHANDISE MART STOP

JJ states- "NORTH WATER TERMINAL was the original terminal for the Northwestern Elevated RR. it used to feed easterly off the el at a right angle one block north of the river. Basically where the Merchadise Mart (and before that, the original Chicago & Northwestern station) is at Wells St. they tore it down around 1965. It was where the ELECTROLINER made its Chicago debut. The SILVERLINER is debuting there circa 1950 (with a special OHIO BRASS headlight)."
