My thanks to everyone invloved. From the marker donors to the 60+ people attending the ceremony on a beautiful day!

The pictures are taken on the west side of Washington at Edison Court fall of 1999.

Top left picture- ROW heading south on the North Shore Line. East in the picture (or to the left) is a restaurant parking lot and west in the picture is a grade school parking lot.

Top right picture- shows where the marker will be placed- across from where the Edison Court passenger Station was.

Bottom picture- view of where the Station stood- open parking lot area.

Above is the letter granting permission from the Lake County Department of Transportation to place the marker on the ROW at Edison Court.

Mr Tobin requested his donation be made in the memory of Mr Edmund V. Driscoll. Mr Driscoll was a Waukegan City motorman from 1919-1947.When the street cars were abandoned in Waukegan in 1947 he continued as a motor coach operator, primarily on the Edison Court to Winthrop Harbor route. Mr Driscoll was a fine gentleman and had the liking and respect of all whom associated with him. He was particularly helpful in assisting new city car motorman in any way he could.

Mr Grady requested his donation be made in the name of his Uncle- Mr Delbert Hangebrauck of Waukegan. Mr Hangebrauck was a motorman on the Shore Line, and later he worked at Edison Court. His family had many fond memories of Waukegan in the 1940's.

Mr and Mrs dave Myers requested their donation be made in the memory of their father Dave Myers who was the General Auditor with over 40 yeas of service with the North Shore Line.
